Dennis Llusco
Dedicated, curious, and passionate about her culture and products, Dennis was born in Guaqui on the shores of Lake Titicaca and moved to La Paz to study gastronomy. She has worked at renowned Bolivian restaurants like Gustu and Alipacha and expanded her knowledge in Brazil at restaurants like Lasai and Imakay. Upon returning to Bolivia, she founded La Rufina with the dream of using her expertise and love for local products to provide a unique dining experience that captures the soul of each dish and promotes Bolivian gastronomy.

How We Work
In Bolivia, gatherings happen for any occasion—whether happy, sad, or just because.
Over the years, La Rufina has hosted formal events, weddings, business meetings, cocktail parties, catering services, and more. Designed to satisfy the cravings and desires of our guests, our events range from intimate gatherings of 10 or more, offering generous food made with love and tradition, unique cocktails, and a family-friendly atmosphere.
The Process
We offer a variety of options, including menu items or special dishes agreed upon by Dennis and the client, always focusing on Bolivian cuisine. Choose from main courses, multi-course meals, or finger foods tailored to your celebration. Our service includes signature cocktails, classic cocktails, wines from various Bolivian wineries, and traditional juices.
Venue Options
• La Rufina Calacoto can accommodate up to 70 seated guests.
• La Rufina Sopocachi can accommodate up to 35 seated guests.
• Syrah Eventos can host up to 300 people for a full-scale party.
• We also offer catering services to your home or office.
Conditions
To finalize a reservation, a prior order is required, and the cost per person may vary. The corkage fee is 50bs per bottle of wine and 120bs for any other alcoholic beverage. Reservations must be made at least 5 days in advance.

Absolutely. Walk-ins are welcome and will be seated in the order of arrival.
